Got your Christmas shopping done?

Waiting until the last minute, whether it's shopping for Christmas or a vacation on the beach will usually cost more. I hate to put it off, because I won't have time to shop for bargains, to compare prices, to wait it out to see if I can find something better (cheaper, better quality, bigger...).

If you're waiting on a pay check or something else prevents you from starting yet, don't just sit on your hands. Look around, decide what you want to buy and find best prices while you're waiting. Then when the money comes, you'll know where to go and how much it's going to cost.

  1. eyrehead here from DS....I am officially done shopping for my children!! I got it all done yesterday at Toys R Us, and not one single dime went on my credit cards!! WOOHOO!! I still have stocking stuffers to get them, but I usually get those at Dollar Tree and/or Wal-Mart. Still need to finish my parents, my hubby, and the kids' teacher. Hope to get them done tomorrow!! =)It's funny...since nothing has been put on a credit card this year, I am amazed at how much I've gotten done this early and how much LESS we've spent compared to past years! AMAZING!!

  2. That's great! Credit cards make it so easy to overspend. Good luck with the rest of your shopping!

  3. Prices seem great this year. I have a lot of people crossed of the list already and have had some really good finds! I have paid cash for everything and am trying to pay off debt at the same time. Follow our journey...

  4. Yes, prices do seem good so far. I think the retailers are afraid they won't sell as much as usual, so they're offering a lot of sales already.

  5. I am all done shopping! I always try to keep it very simple and not go overboard. That said, I do like to splurge on my loved ones.

  6. I feel the exact same way, Lawrence. I try to keep it simple and low key, but it's a good feeling to give special things to the people I love.

  7. Don't forget homemade gifts too! Baking mixes in a jar, bath fizzes and salts can be mixed in no time and put in pretty jars! You can also make your own facial scrubs and masks at a fraction of the cost!

  8. Absolutely, "anoymous." Hand made is always nice, and can be quite inexpensive.

  9. Black Friday and the living is good! I slept in, made a pot of coffee when I woke up and got to clean my house and yard! Made those great tasting turkey sandwiches and turned the rest into turkey hash and soup! Nope I didn't go crazy standing in line waiting to buy cheap stuff made from China and Mexico! NOPE not me!!!

    AHHH-Black Friday's got nothing onme
