Decorating simply, naturally and frugally

I'm not a real nut when it comes to decorating my home, but I enjoy nice touches as much as anyone.

This little fall bouquet is made up of "weeds" from my backyard, in a large coffee mug, as you can see. I like the way it turned out. It's made from grasses that were allowed to seed out, lavender seed heads and a few odds and ends.

Cost? Nothing.

  1. My very favorite bouquet is made from wild red clover in a sugar bowl. Something about it just soothes me.

  3. I love your weed bouquet! I went weed gathering too the other day so I smiled when I saw their are other people out there like me who see the beauty in weeds! I collected burrs, bare twigs, seed heads and dried berries for some shadow boxes I am putting together that will have watercolor birds in the background.

  5. Okay! I'll have to make them first! :) I have it all made in my head though! I plan on making these and taking it to a wildlife art festival where I hoped people might appreciate them.
